Commission Implementing Decision EU2026/67: Ammends Ireland’s existing derogation under the Nitrates Directive (9/676/EEC), which permitted Ireland to apply higher rates of livestock manure to agricultural land than the Directive’s standard limit. The amendment udpates conditions and monitoring requirements attached to that derogation. Addressed to Ireland.

Commission Decision (EU) 2026/66 – Extends the validity of EU Ecolabel criteria for five product groups, including textile products, bed mattresses, furniture, footwear, and wood-, cork- and bamboo-based floor coverings, until December 31, 2028. There is no substantive change to the criteria itself.

Political and Security Committee Decision (CFSP) 2026/58 – Colonel Emilio Asensio Bautista, from the Spanish Armed Forces, has been appointed as head of the military command and support cell of the EU Security and Defence Initiative in support of West African countries of the Gulf of Guinea, with effect from January 9, 2026. The act also repeals Decision (CFSP) 2025/1413, which had appointed Captain André van der Kamp to that role from July 2025.
